H. Fred Ford, Sr.


Mr. Ford graduated from Florida State University in 1958 and the College of Law of the University of Tennessee in 1966. He won the Trial Moot Court Award and was Editor-In-Chief of the U.T. Lawyer. He has been practicing Immigration Law since 1966 and has tried immigration cases before the Immigration Judges in Nashville, Memphis and Chattanooga, Tennessee; New Orleans and Oakdale, Louisiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; and Houston and Dallas, Texas. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Tennessee, the U.S. Federal Court System, the United States Court of Military Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He regularly tries cases before the Board of Immigration Appeals in Washington, D.C. and has handled immigration matters in the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is experienced in Consular Practice and has appropriate contacts in many Consulates in both hemispheres. He is, and has been, a very active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association ("AILA") since 1969, is a member of the American Council for Nationalities Service, International Common Law Exchange Society, International Bar Association, Mayor’s Committee on Refugees and Immigration Affairs, American and Tennessee Trial Lawyer’s Associations and the Christian Legal Society, and has served as a Commissioner on the Metropolitan Davidson County Human Relations Committee. He is a retired Colonel in the Tennessee Army National Guard.

His office is completely computerized utilizing a LAN network with Immigrant Pro software, AILA’s InfoNet and Immigration Law Daily.
